Gabriela Szlak and Luciano Gutman, members of Lerman & Szlak’s Digital Business, Privacy & AI Department, delivered a successful in-person training workshop to the MEL Inmobiliario team on their internal policies related to integrity and compliance, as well as the protection of the company’s intangible assets. The session marked the completion of a project we developed together with our client to strengthen their team’s awareness regarding the protection of the company’s confidential information and that of its clients, updating the confidentiality agreement, establishing a set of internal integrity and compliance policies, and preparing a plain-language explanatory guide to facilitate understanding and day-to-day application.
In recent years, many companies have made significant progress in strengthening and professionalizing their internal integrity and compliance policies, as well as in the protection of their intangible assets—a concept that includes copyright and trademarks but also, and above all, confidential information.
